What’s Unside all about?

Think 2D surrealism smashed onto a Möbius strip. Space here is totally trippy, and normal boundaries? Just an illusion. You ain't just walking around; you’re sliding across the flipside, where the end of the road is literally always square one.

A Mashup of Two Dimensions

Unside is split into two vibes: Organic and Crystalline. These aren't just different biomes; they're the exact same matter, glitched together by some crazy anomaly. The whole place is sketchy AF: it can literally deconstruct into atoms and respawn right in front of your eyes.

There are no invisible walls. You glitch into the other dimension exactly where the map edge should be in a normal game.

The Law of Conservation of Energy

The whole world acts like a massive network of connected jars.
The Balancing ActIf you wreck one dimension, you accidentally buff (heal) the other. And vice versa. Every move you make messes with the balance of power.
Pocket Vessel: Think of this as your personal chunk of the ecosystem. It's how you mess with the environment: you can siphon mana from the world to hook yourself up, or sacrifice it to patch up a dying world.

Magnets and Elbow Grease

Forget normal physics — everything here dances to the magnetism of the Möbius strip.
Also, say goodbye to bottomless magic pockets. Your character isn’t some wizard; you’re just a random guest in this weird place. Wanna move an item? You gotta physically lug it around in your hands. Every single piece of loot matters because your inventory space is literally just the length of your arms.

Your Toolkit:
Decompiler: A gadget that turns any physical object into scrap. Basically, if you can lift it, you can scrap it.

Fabricator: Lets you whip up/craft brand new objects out of the scrap you hoarded.

Building (Beta): Right now in the beta, but it lets you set up safe havens in this janky, unstable world.

Unside Never Forgets

Save scumming won't save you. The game remembers everything. Your screw-ups don't just vanish with the code — they seep into the actual dirt and will come back to bite you in the ass, even in future runs.

DIRECTIVE NO. 9:
Don't rip trees out by the roots.
Don't spawn shadow freaks.
▪ Going aggro wrecks your own dimension.

You either learn to live with the mess you made, or you're gonna drown in the backlash of your own actions.

Fix the world, or sit back and watch it pay the price for you sucking at it.
